Your Role as a Clean Up the World Member
*Members have some important responsibilities concerning use of the Clean Up the World brand name and logo. Please refer to the Logos section for additional guidance.
As a valued Member of this global campaign, Clean Up the World asks you to:
- Plan and coordinate local clean ups and other environmental initiatives
- Encourage as many people as possible to volunteer to take part without charging a participation fee
- Promote initiatives through local media and community networks wherever possible
- Obtain sponsorship and/or build partnerships with local organisations in order to support your activities
- Provide the Clean Up the World team in Sydney with information on your local clean up and other environmental initiatives to assist our international promotional efforts. Use the Member Activity Report form for this purpose (see link at the bottom of this page). Also send us images if possible
- Follow the guidelines below as outlined on the Membership Registration form.
1. Manage and promote Clean Up the World activities in a responsible manner, giving consideration to factors including the safety of volunteers, supervision at clean up sites and the proper disposal of waste.
2. Cooperate with the appropriate local authorities and work in a manner consistent with local laws and regulations.
3. Review materials included in the members area on the Clean Up the World website and adapt as appropriate according to the specific conditions of your activity, in a manner consistent with local laws and regulations.
4. Ensure Clean Up the World activities are conducted in a spirit of co-operation with other Members and organisations and encourage public participation (including not charging a participation fee).
5. Allow your contact details to be sent to Clean Up the World stakeholders and media for communication and promotional purposes.
6. Gain photo approval from participants in your activities and allow Clean Up the World to use any images and activity details you send us for communication and promotional purposes.
7. Display the Clean Up the World logo, and the logos of international sponsors and partners, in all promotional material for the purpose of promoting your event and/or activities and use these logos only in accordance with the guidelines provided on the Clean Up the World Website.
8. Only make representations on behalf of Clean Up the World Pty Ltd. with express written permission from an authorised officer of Clean Up the World Pty Ltd. in Australia.
9. Only translate Clean Up the World materials into other languages with express written permission from an authorised officer of Clean Up the World Pty Ltd. in Australia.
10. Abide by Clean Up the World's discretion in relation to approval for the use of the Clean Up the World or Clean Up name and/or logo in relation to your activity or organisation.
11. Abide by the above requirements or cease acting as a Clean Up the World Member at the instruction of Clean Up the World Pty Ltd. in Australia.
12. Warrant that the person authorising this agreement has the organisational authority to do so.
