Clean Up the World is a community-based environmental campaign that inspires and empowers communities around the world to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment. Held in conjunction with the United Nations Environment Programme, the campaign offers practical support and resources to help participating organisations and their volunteers address local environmental challenges.

In 2009, Clean Up the World participating organisations in more than 120 countries conducted a broad range of activities including clean up events, recycling projects, education campaigns, resource recovery projects, competitions and exhibitions, biodiversity initiatives and community awareness programs.
