Clean Up the World in 2006 is linked to the United Nations Environment Programme’s International Year of Deserts and Desertification 2006. We will encourage Members to focus on preventing Desertification by assisting them carry out initiatives that enable individuals and communities to make a difference in the areas of waste reduction, sustainable land and water use and reforestation.
