    Welcome to Clean Up the World

     Clean Up the World was established in 1993 and is one of the largest
    community-based environmental programs in the world.

    We unite community groups, schools, businesses, and local governments to carry out activities that address local environmental issues.  We provide expertise, support and guidance to members in 130 countries across the world. 

    Our vision is to inspire a billion people across all continents to tread lightly, clean up and conserve the planet.

    Clean Up the World Weekend 2020 was a little different  ...

    In the midst of a global pandemic, the planet still needs us to care. Clean Up the World unites people every September to take action on waste. But 2020 was a little different. Many of us couldn't come together in large groups, however, everyone still did at least one small action to make a difference.




    Thank you to everyone who participated in Clean Up the World Weekend 2020.

    We look forward to seeing you in 2021!


    CLEAN UP THE WORLD WEEKEND WILL BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 17-19, 2021.


    You can register a site year-round.

    Register any positive action you can take:

    Small, local clean ups, planting trees, reducing, re-using or recycling waste, or educating others. 


    Every small action makes a world of difference.
