Clean Up the World has launched its 2018 campaign for Clean Up the World Weekend. The Weekend will be held on 15-16 September 2018 and will feature the theme 'Beat Plastic Pollution', in line with the United Nations World Environment Day efforts this year.

The campaign will see thousands of groups register their clean up event over the coming months, culminating on the one weekend in September. Activities will include removing rubbish, tree planting, habitat restoration, education & awareness activities, waterway and marine environment care, waste reclamation and recycling projects.

Volunteers from over 130 countries are expected to take part - from all regions of the globe: Africa, Europe, West Asia, Asia Pacific, Latin America & the Caribbean and North America. Learn more about Clean Up the World regions here.

Clean Up the World supports local groups to take action and assists in the delivery of their event by providing resources and connecting groups to local networks, businesses and government. Learn more about organizing a Clean Up the World activity here.
